Each investigation starts from a puzzle about a place, a price, a rule or a street that does not add up, and follows it until the answer is plain. It is told as a video on YouTube and the channel's other accounts, and as an article on this site with every source behind it.
Plotline is for people with savings who are seriously weighing a property purchase in another city or country and want a straight answer before they spend. You do not need a finance background to follow it.
How we work
- Every figure has a source. Each number names who published it and the period it covers, and links to it.
- Checked twice. An independent fact check runs on every claim before a script is written. Figures we could not verify are listed, not hidden.
- No advice, no sponsors. We never tell you what to buy and never promote an agency, developer or listing.
- Bad news gets equal time. Risks, taxes and slowdowns are told as plainly as the upside.
We also never state a price, yield, growth rate or law that the fact check did not verify, never present a forecast as a fact (every forecast names who made it and when), and never take undisclosed sponsorship.
How the videos are made
- Research. Every source is opened and checked, and every claim goes through a separate fact check before a script is written. Figures are always taken from the original publisher, with the period they cover.
- Pictures. Photos and footage are real and used under their licences. Charts, maps and diagrams are drawn by us from the checked figures.
- Music. Music comes from licensed music libraries.
- Articles. The article on each video's page is written from the same checked research. It may only use figures that passed the fact check, each linked to its source.
